The company was established in 1997 by registration in the Commercial Register kept at the Regional Commercial Court in Ostrava. The company started its business in the rented premises (740 m2 hall) of HD Hlučín. This area was mainly used as a storage area, then as an assembly hall with 2-5 assembly workers working there. As time passed and sales grew, five more assembly workers were hired during 1998 and assembly began in a 2-shift operation.
The largest supplier of semi-finished products at that time was a company whose orders for Lena already exceeded 80% of its production. This was the impetus for Lena's foreign partner to buy or build its own warehouses. This plan was implemented in December 1998, when the company moved to a building in Ludgerovice (3,500 m2 built-up area + approx. 25,000 m2 unbuilt area).
After an extensive reconstruction of the buildings (infrastructure, building modifications, repairs of existing distribution and sewage systems, acquisition of new production equipment, etc.), Lena started to produce in its own injection molding plant from 1 September 1999. Production is carried out in 3-4 shifts and assembly in 2-shift operation. The number of staff has stabilized at 50 permanent and about 40 external staff.
In 2005, the production plant in Roth, Germany was closed and the entire toy production was moved to the Czech Republic.
The built warehouses and the overall premises in Ludgeřovice became over time inadequate and insufficient for the current production and needs of Lena, so in June 2009 began the construction of a new building (5000m2 built-up area) in Dolní Benešov, where Lena began to produce and ship from 11 November 2009.
